libpwquality-tools software package provides tools for password quality checking and generation, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libpwquality-tools
libpwquality-tools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libpwquality-tools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libpwquality-tools *
You will get with libpwquality-tools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
